Get Clean® Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer contains 65% alcohol, which aligns with or exceeds all agency recommendations for alcohol-based hand sanitizers.
These recommendations are based on numerous studies that have found that sanitizers with an alcohol concentration of between 60-95% are more effective at killing germs than those with a lower alcohol concentration or non-alcohol-based hand sanitizers. Hand sanitizers with alcohol percentages lower than 60% lack the potency needed to kill the majority of germs, and sanitizers with high concentrations may evaporate too quickly. The extra water content in hand sanitizers slows evaporation, increasing surface contact time with germs and enhancing effectiveness.
Does Get Clean® Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer kill COVID-19?
It has not been tested on COVID-19. Get Clean® Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer has been shown to kill 99.99% of many harmful germs and bacteria, including: E. Coli, Salmonella, Staph, Candida, and A. Niger. It can help protect your health by eliminating germs and bacteria that are commonly found in public places.
Is Get Clean® Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer approved by the CDC?
No. Get Clean® Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer exceeds the CDC's recommendations for percent alcohol content in hand sanitizer. It has not been directly approved by the CDC but aligns with or exceeds all agency recommendations for alcohol-based hand sanitizers.
